Ingredients Breakdown

The key ingredient of this product is definitely the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) – formulated with 3.2% glycolic acid and 1.8% lactic acid  . I won’t go too in depth but basically glycolic acid has a smaller molecule that can penetrate deeper into the skin (better results) and lactic acid with a larger molecule that does does not penetrate deeper tends to cause less irritation (more suitable for sensitive skin).

The product also contain propanediol at the top of its ingredient list. It is a well tolerated ingredient that help enhance the absorption of other ingredients. This ingredient also leaves the skin feeling smooth and hydrated.

Other than that, this toner also checks off the ‘standard’ requirement of toner being alcohol free and low pH which are perfect for a healthy skin barrier.

Water, Propanediol, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Lactobacillus Ferment, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Sophora Japonica Flower Extract, Saccharomyces/Rice Ferment Filtrate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Backhousia Citriodora Leaf Oil, Sea Water, Benzyl Glycol, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Raspberry Ketone

How Often Can You use

Really depends on how well your skin can tolerate AHAs. However, I don’t generally recommend using an exfoliating toner on a daily basis as it might lead to over exfoliation or irritation to the skin.

Just like water, it is a colourless liquid that flows out easily and absorbs into the skin within seconds!

Subtle lemon scent with no chemical smell despite being a chemical exfoliator.

Personal review

I usually reach out for hydrating toners but when my skin feels congested this is the exfoliating toner that I have been reaching out a lot recently!

I have been using this product on and off for 4 weeks now. This product contains really good ingredients, smells nice and leaves the skin feeling good. Also, the toner have never caused any irritation to my skin. My skin is probably too used to chemical exfoliators that I didn’t see huge improvements in my skin condition.

Overall, I think that this is a decent product and definitely worth trying it out if you are looking for a mild exfoliating toner! I will continue to use the toner too 🙂
